In the realm of Nintendo, all is not well in the Mushroom Kingdom. Nothing spells doom for a video game system in 2025 is to cost more than a weeks worth of rent, at a total of $ 450. You didn’t misread the sentence: The Nintendo Switch 2 will cost $ 450. They are also offering a camera so now you can see players react to each other. But in 2025, it’s so popular to blame Donald J. Trump, whose tariffs are somehow the problem. The outcome is that with the tariffs across the world, this isn’t all President Trump’s fault.

Nintendo was on the downswing before they revolutionized their marketing strategy and went back to the fan favorite handheld variety with the Nintendo Switch. Granted, the evolution of video games, as they will become more photo realistic will cost more. Developers need money to survive and make the games better for the consumer. Sometimes games don’t have to look photorealistic to be fun or enjoyable. It just depends on the market the game is being sold to.
