(Note: While that might say Lap 1, I had forgot to change the name of the lap, but everything in the book follows according to the narrative structure. Just so everyone knows).
Section 4: The Stealth Mechanics in the Auzhmerzer
The stealth mechanics have always played a part of the Wolfenstein saga, as even in its early dos stages in the 80’s. What makes the stealth so intriguing is that it can make the difference between having to hide behind cover and draw out a battle for more than ten minutes is that when the alarm is sounded, more back up will arrive. It’s the question of having to make sure when you move at the right time. And on the Mein Leiben difficulty, it’s best to move at all cost. Don’t think you can hide behind cover forever. If you like that and have lots of time, go for it. But the question is where do you run and why should you fight? If you can take out the commanders then you can then go on a killing spree if need be. But it’s important to know when to run. And run without considering going back to fight.
Not every battle must be won on Mein Leiben. The first encounter is on the Auzhmerzer. And it allows you to track where the commanders are so you can either take them out or then go and find the best escape points. It’s best to study the stealth mechanics on an easier difficulty so you don’t have to figure it out later on at a harder difficulty. That seems like old news to game players, but to me, it’s how I learn to beat the higher difficulties. And for PC players, it’s easy to break a game instead of playing through the game and meeting it at its levels. [1]
What the immense pain of being caught in a stealthy section proves that if you don’t have the right path planned out before you will just be shooting haphazardly. In a video game, it proves that you need every chance to escape because you will face more hordes of enemies blocking you from reaching the next part of the level.
