Sympathy Over the Dead
Why Celebrities and Political Figures use the Dead as their Testament of Good Faith

I think it’s hard for anyone when someone dies. A personal tragedy that people have to deal with. When someone’s death is used as political propaganda you often think, “is this being done in good faith?”
It’s been used countless times throughout history. It’s always been the way through votes and stealing attention away from a politicians horrible time in office. If Joe Biden’s trip to Buffalo New York, after a “white supremacist” murdered innocent people in a drug store wouldn’t make you cringe, it’s the horrible observations created by the leftist media, such as Rolling Stone tweet which read, “The Buffalo Shooter wasn’t a lone wolf, he was a mainstream Republican.”

.
And if that isn’t cringe enough, politicians will always use mass shootings as a call for “more gun control” and blame the problem on someone else. I can’t dignify using death as a way to make people “like my page” and offer an opinion. The reason why this happens can be described as “shared empathy.” But for the left it’s virtue signaling to their tribe. The right can do it, too, but I don’t see mock sincerity in the right. I see genuine concern, unlike lamestream lefty politicians who will push for gun control, but don’t know what a firearm is.
Just, for fun, ask them the difference between an automatic and a semiautomatic, and you’ll get a hilarious result. As they can’t tell you the difference.
Although, in all fairness, it’s always suspicious when conservatives, like Breitbart, will address, “the border crisis” and say, “thank you” to dead border agents in a post, my bullshit meter kicks in. It makes me say, as someone who in 2022 applied to work on the border wall, but never went through with it, says, “That love and prayer won’t bring the dead border security guards back from the grave.” It’s like “thanks for your prayers,” but also, “maybe donate a million dollars to my family if you really want to bring Sammy’s Cartel killers to justice.”[2]
But tragedy, like the Buffalo shooter, used by political opportunists is diabolical and a triumphant fallacy against the families who are unable to grieve, because of constant media attention. It’s odd when some online e-celeb will do a livestream about her sister, but no one can undermine her legitimacy. Just like in Buffalo.[3] Because trauma can’t be questioned. But it can be fabricated, too. Politicians, and e clebs, will do anything for attention, and latch onto causes decimating the weak and innocent in the pursuit of power, at any cost. To be blunt, if your parents funeral was relived in the public eye for days, receiving constant hatred, death threats, would you want politicians “lending their support.”
But politicians and e-celebs are like herpes, they only flare up when a national tragedy happens, and then they go away when it’s over. Fortunately, you can unsubscribe from people you don’t like, politicians can change laws and your life, which is obnoxious and dangerous to generations to come. Will “virtue signaling” bring back the dead? No. And that’s the saddest part about national publicity over tragic deaths.
[1] Depending on where you are in life, you can pick and choose your tragedy to place here, and just run with it. This is basically a single study, and it’s more about what happens when tragedies are picked up and are forgotten. Again, not trying to cover a broad perspective, but want to respect the dead. Hope the people in Buffalo are all right.
[2] Which leads me back to this point. Here’s a gross factor that shouldn’t be forgotten. If you wonder why online celebs like Dark Side Phil, a streamer, would masturbate for the entire world to see and say, “he didn’t know,” is literally naïve, or why the Amazing Atheist would stick a bannna up his ass, when he said, “the camera wasn’t on.” While he stares directly at the camera. No politician would help these two idiots, but that’s just an aside, at a micro level, with society that seeks attention, will try to find any way attention can be sought.
[3] Both are different examples, but the pain both parties feel, are felt. Two different advents of pain, but a “shared empathy.”
