Since December 22nd, 1987’s Hideo Kojima debut with Nintendo Nes’s “Metal Gear” and concluding with Metal Gear Solid 5 The Phantom Pain on September 1st, 2015, Hideo Kojima, its creator, has created some of the most memorable characters in video game history. With Solid Snake, a united states soldier who has faced off against plethora of characters such as Revolver Ocelot, a mercenary who uses a revolver, Vulkan Raven, a huge Alaskan character who carries around a chain gun with a large bee hive like depository with ammo inside (so he doesn’t have to reload), Sniper Wolf, a female sniper who confesses her life story to Snake after he defeats her in a sniper battle, somehow has managed to become a living meme but also a creative force in video game story telling.

The series has always been heavy handed, giving long diatribe cut scenes about how war is, Skull Face, a character from 2015’s Phantom Pain, presents all the philosophies of war torn rage, linguistic death, and the terrible fortune of achieving technological supremacy, no matter the cost.
