Art and Culture 40: Why Joe Budden is the Worst Rapper and Podcaster, to date
-For the Uncensored!
If you have never heard of Joe Budden, don’t worry, it was probably because he wasn’t really good. If Joe Budden’s rap career had taken off, he probably would have made better songs. But then, who really knows the best Joe Budden song? When Joe Budden criticized Eminem for not making good albums, fine, but at least Eminem has made albums that people know. If there is one person in the comment that can recite an actual Joe Budden lyric, I would honestly be shocked.
As head of the Joe Budden podcast, he thinks his voice matters. Well, it certainly only is recognized when he wants attention, and not for anything substantial. As he tried to call out Alex Jones for being the “KKK guy” Alex Jones went off on Joe Budden on a tirade that could only be defined as a bitch slap heard around the world.
According to HipHopDx.com, Alex Jones stated: “I will not sit there and have racist Black people who are feeding at the corporate new world order, eugenics, genocide, death cult tit, lecture me about how I’m bad because I’m white,’ he said. “Just because you are this Black person paid by the corporate media to spew racism to divide this country in the world.” (https://hiphopdx.com/news/id.63015/title.racist-joe-budden-conservative-radio-host-alex-jones-are-officially-beefing#)
What is hilarious is that Alex Jones wasn’t going to take this lying down. Joe Budden has no place in the culture of hip hop or on podcast history. Joe Budden’s rap career and podcast career would never equal Alex Jones or any mainstream rapper’s legacy to date. What makes this hilarious is that Alex Jones now sounds more revolutionary than anything Joe Budden ever said in his miserable existence as a rapper. And even Inspectah Deck, member of the Wu-Tang Clan, said, “Name me three Joe Budden songs that yall like” on his diss track “House Nigga.” (https://hiphopdx.com/news/id.9447/title.inspectah-deck-releases-joe-budden-diss-budden-responds) And that was before I even looked into major figures who didn’t care about Joe Budden. So, this proves Alex Jones relevancy far more than Joe Budden could ever have.
Lastly, on the stance of creativity, the worst thing to be in the mainstream is to be talented and unrecognized. But Joe Budden lives in a demented world view that no rapper exists outside himself. He acts as if Nas, Biggie, the Wu-Tang Clan and 2pac were the worst rappers of all time. If he actually had a hit single people could rally around, he might have been successful. If Eminem could remix “Chloraseptic” which featured Joe Budden, once a member of Slaughterhouse, only to dismiss Joe, which removed Joe Budden for the remix version. “Not as raw as I once was, walk on water sucks, bitch suck my dick” was a line that calls out Joe Budden for his criticism of Eminem’s somber song, Walk on Water. It makes me wonder why Eminem even helped Joe Budden and his flailing career. It’s even more reason why men like Joe Budden should just quit. Joe Budden is what happens when you mix a scowling cat face with a down syndrome patient that can’t actually communicate clear concise thoughts. I do believe that if Joe Budden ever had been famous, he wouldn’t have amounted to much. I mean, being irrelevant is why Joe Budden exists. Why art exists is that famous saying, “If you can’t teach, do, and if you can’t do, teach.”
Joe Budden can’t rap or teach anyone else to rap either because no one would make it if they impersonated Budden at all.
