-For the Uncensored!
(Note: Not that this song has to do with the article itself, it’s probably more likely about my mood in general. A little maudlin but also wrapped in deep mystical yet grounded reality my mind lives in. Plus, Ennio Morricone is a legendary composer and also anyone who hasn’t seen Once Upon a Time in America, hasn’t ever seen a real movie before. Also you can listen to it after reading the article, too)
Much like Guts and his journey being the hundred man slayer in Kentaro Miura’s Berserk, 100 short articles for me was never part of the plan. Seeing how so many value short articles, covering art and culture has never been more of an abysmal time in pop culture. Writing many articles for various publications since 2017, like the Intellectual Conservative, my own WordPress site, the reallouistbruno, and officially for Substack, I have come to a few key observations. Theaters aren’t feeding the audience the same way anymore. The obsessive quality of being high on whatever side believes is “right or wrong” about popular culture, from Kanye West’s rant on Alex Jones, artistic oil painted romance covers, Dave Chappelle’s controversial “anti-BLT[1]” views, the censorship of Twitter and social media made against the American people, it’s never been a worst time to review and read modern fiction. Imagine going from Red Lobster stories like Frank Herbert’s Dune to JRR Tolkien’s Lord of the Rings, constantly thinking and feeding the audience with myth and lore, to mediocre Marvel trash SJW writers and have to honestly say “there efforts are solid.”
Even I, who have reviewed more than enough art, books, games, movies, can see the faults, unless I personally hold it to my perfect standards. That can become something more twenty years down the line. Personally, I stand by the idea that 2022’s Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II was subpar in its story telling, but as 21 Kiloton puts it “Tom Clancy for Zoomers.”
What makes covering Art so abysmal is that you’re not promised wealth or fame for having an opinion. Twitter personalities from 2000’s to 2012, became international stars, just for having opinions about Art and Culture. That was the window of the online personality and covering online personalities who don’t have a bibliography publication only works but for so long. It’s not news to cover online personalities, and Art itself is now a political theater, not one of craft, sentences, verbs, adjectives, because if the world itself is all about politics, then art is political, and politics is why Tim Pool has no hair.[2]
What makes Art and Culture so important is that comedians, writers, thinkers, used to be able to attack high society and the companies that paid them to be the counter culture. To catalogue the downfall of Boomer/Gen X comedians, thinkers, writers, who turned to pussies in four years, destroying their empire, just because of a Donald J. Trump, only worked from 2016 to 2020.
It’s not fair to pretend this is what dominates my thinking, personally. What makes Art and Culture so important after 100 articles is to be able to defend/shame SJW assholes who want to erase the accomplishments of Tolkien, Lewis, Rushdie, because of their political beliefs made against sacred cows. While these men don’t share the beliefs I hold or I don’t share their opinions, especially Rushdie, I would never want their legacy to be destroyed, because Rushdie was smart enough and knew how to play both sides.
What I guess this means is that I will defend those who personally hate my guts. If I laugh at them, it’s not out of personal vendettas. But for now, art and covering the world of art, is now secondary. Art, over 100 articles, is a feat in itself. And being wealthy doesn’t always mean happiness, either. Most artists aren’t happy in their success. Being a one hundred man article writer now has new meaning to me. Being a man of the people means sacrificing the fame and fortune of a world that didn’t want me in the first place.
Covering the hatred spewed upon those who stand for artistic achievement, too, as Rushdie, Lewis, Tolkien, are what I would want personally after I am gone. And you don’t know how hard it was not to send a goon after the young man who stabbed Salman Rushdie. And no one in the media will talk about Salman Rushdie, at all. And how he single handedly had to fear for his life, every day.
To cover art is to wear the mud of all my forbearers, and be solidified in my position, even when it might be scrutinized. Because I didn’t expect to be interested this long, but to cover art is to understand that art is subjective and holds the eye of the beholder. And to be a auteur is to attack and take a punch. No matter what I say.
I can’t promise what will come from this section on Substack, but I can’t cover art if there’s no real reason to cover it, anymore. Maybe a few here and there, but that’s it. Maybe to cover things that interest me, but that’s why you’re here, too. So, here’s to another hundred more. I hope to feed and give you what you want and need.
[1] I understand that I used the word BLT (Bacon Lettuce Tomato) to replace LGBTQ. The reason is that the LGBTQ are no different from a BLT sandwich, because they are the bland version of all Alphabet people that have arisen from the progressive left. They have no opinions that hold longer than a day. They promote MAP beliefs but never have kids. They are people who don’t read great works of art but will shit on the past for their half assed art that didn’t earn their brilliance or suffer any real heartache or pain. Those are the writers who use “ache” and never had the balls to put themselves on the line. Literal children who want to be adults but won’t suffer one day without food, comforts, or the ability to be rejected by their peers. And most of the Bullshit liars and terrorists that occupy the LGBTQ have no right to speak of my brutal but honest views. Because they can’t be honest with themselves.
[2] To be fair, this is not a diss against Tim Pool. Personally I know people who work in either politics or SJW media corporations, and they look worse than I do. Because they sold their soul to become rich and lose the youth they wanted to achieve from that job title. And a job title doesn’t mean you have a personality, either. Politics can turn your hair gray or make you lose your hair, too.

I'm reminded of what Galadriel said to Frodo in the Fellowship of the Ring Movie; "You are a ring bearer, Frodo. To bear of ring of power is to be alone." In this analogy having an opinion (a voice) and the need to voice it would be the one ring. Everyone, especially on the left, laments marginalization constantly but they love it. They love perpetrating marginalization and upon seeing a dissident is marginalized will mock him incessantly for it.
But the worst thing to ever happen to western civilization is the acceptance of the belief that we can simply opt out of Politics. That we're not interested, and it doesn't have anything to do with us. This lie marked the beginning of our doom. Everyone everywhere needs to be interested in politics.
