An Open Letter to Swatters
-For the Uncensored!
In the dark recesses of the Internet, lay a group of bloated children, spawned from wealth and comfort, have but one action to play when they see from their computer screens, a streamer, youtuber, who is making their point, and these children, in their right mind, employ a deadly venomous bite. Call the police, saying the youtubers house is being held hostage by a gunman, and then the police only arrive when they see nothing is happening to the streamer. Interrupting them in the middle of the stream, embarrassing them, was their end goal. Like little Cretans they hide in the shadows, calling police, and never taking blame for said consequences. Sometimes the unintended swatting can visit an unexpected target, too. “Hate Raids”[1] are often too common in the world of Youtube and Twitch streamers. It starts out as a joke, but people can get hurt.

As of November 17th, 2022, comedian Chrissie Mayr was the victim of a swatting. As she quipped, “On the bright side—the cops were very good looking.” Luckily she’s okay and nothing has happened. But when beautiful thinkers are attacked for their independent right leaning beliefs, this prank isn’t funny anymore.
Oddly, people think this is funny. Pranks often have their place among juveniles who often don’t agree with the streamer, and make the call, often acting as if it was out of good fun. Good fun is when it’s not literally costing the streamer or youtuber there life.
All of this upsets me, and any sane person reading this. Fucking furious. I do have one thing to say to these people. This is for the children, or grown ass men, who commit swatting attacks.
You aren’t a hero. You aren’t making a difference. You are causing violence and destroying a person in their most vulnerable position, making money, and being creative. And for those children who so willingly try to silence hardened streamers, you aren’t going to make them stop.
Well, have fun since your debacle doesn’t really fade strong youtubers and Twitch players. If the callers did this to Alexandria Ocasio Cortez, left wing ditz Congress woman from New York City, this would be on the national news, decreeing “gamergate” victimhood mentality, blaming a right winger, and all that bullshit. No doubt Ms. Cortez would make up the hypothetical swatting as a publicity stunt. But swatting in general, is a dick move in a dickless generation.
You fucking assholes deserve whatever is coming to you. You have little achievements, no books written, no great thoughts, and you sit in your nice little homes. I hope you find what it is you’re looking for, because jail will be a nice home for you. I give you one day in jail before you wake up regretting that decision.
Again, cowards, hiding behind the shadows, calling the police on people. You’re bullies and shitty people. Go fuck yourselves and live in that hole you call your fat mother’s womb.
