A case for why we need Cops (and to Criticize them when they are wrong)
I remember in American Gangster, when Frank Lucas (played by Denzel Washington) when he meets a member of the Italian mafia, and they are having a conversation and the mobster asks how Frank’s doing. And Frank’s response is, “It’s chaos. Every gorilla for hisself.” And it flashes to violence that happen in Harlem. The mobster goes onto say, “That would never happen to Italians. Anything in one person’s life, there has to be order.” (the scene in particular is capped at 3:30-4:30 if you don’t want to watch the entire video)
I know this might not make sense, but the last part of the character’s phrase is true. There has to be order. When there are riots and there is no one taking charge of a situation, in any field, chaos and violence break out. With Minnesota, the police are tired of being pitied against by BLM and Antifa, which they can’t even protect themselves from. That’s a scary thing. To have riot mobs outside your precinct and as cops, they are stuck in a horrible situation. Do they stay and try to provide good support, or should they be targets of “journalists” and woke mobs trying to attack cops when they can’t even have the time to do there job right.
With cops, or an authority figure, there has to be trust between the community and the police. Yelling down at cops is not what people should do. What is dishonorable is expecting social workers to get up and then take that role. Police aren’t perfect, and they can make mistakes.
If there are criminals reading this, or wanna-be future criminals, here’s some free advice. Don’t resist arrest. I can’t stress this enough. Just go to court. As Seymourviews said on his Instagram page, “comply, then complain.” If not, it will be ugly.
Now, should police who don’t have enough training in the field, and constantly know what the best decision is. We can criticize Ms. Potter and Mr. Wright for making this situation into something worse. Rioting is only going to make the situation worse. Tim Pool made a great case that the “police need to send a message” and leave if they aren’t going to be respected. “I’ll give you exactly what you want.” He proclaimed.
So, again, what is new? Another shooting. I would argue that both of Ms. Potter and Wright made a mistake. People are flawed, yes, and there are cases to be made for how Jacob Blake, a criminal sex offender, who was shot seven times in 2020, after his girlfriend called the police, and he resisted arrest.
In decisions where force is necessary, two people can easily dissolve a tense situation. I understand that rational thinking is hard during a stressful situation, but if someone is not trying to calm the situation down, then cops have no choice. It’s like when Anti-fa scream and shout on college campuses and expect there opponents to be calm with them. Most teachers are waiting for Antifa to shut up and then move on with the lecture.
It’s a shame that violence has to happen, but people do have free will to not comply, but to criminals, consider that your flight risk might end up in violence against you. To the police, always use the best judgement when you can. But it’s not for me to say, but sometimes, it’s hard not to have an opinion.
Now people like Don Lemon should tighten there lips at some point to restrain what they say, because he only spreads garbage hoax’s and doesn’t call them out when they are a lie. To the media, do not spin your lies to misrepresent the situation.
Good criticism is healthy for all people. It helps them improve where they are making mistakes. It’s come to my attention that no one likes criticism, and I definitely understand when it comes to leftists Twitter mobs. They are just screaming at themselves, and your boomer parents are probably driving you nuts with every heart wrenching moment on CNN that’s repeated until you don’t know what the facts are anymore.
What this does create is the line said in American Gangster, “There has to be order.” It’s true, and the point is, people are human and they make mistakes. Cops are not given an easy job. Most people don’t want to be cops. Nor do criminals want to sell drugs and commit crimes. Order has to happen because constant chaos cannot come out of bloodshed. BLM and Antifa do not make the situation easy for Americans. If society will not regain its moral order, and start pursuing justice in a fair and balanced ways, society, in America, will not exist anymore. Order will not happen without someone willing to keep the peace.
But not to worry, the violence will only be encouraged by BLM leaders who sit in there million dollar homes as the rest of us have to clean up the mess that’s in front of us. We won’t ask them for help, don’t worry.
