-For the Uncensored!
So, as the year comes to a close, the rise of COVID-19 came as a shock and revelation in 2020. To me, being inside came as no big deal, but what I saw happening to people didn’t fill me with ease. I was productive, and I wrote, but come 2021, the year had to change. The entire world went bankrupt in two years, as the media and world wide governments botched up the Covid-19 pandemic. Businesses closed and forced vaccinations took place. I did get vaccinated because it was my choice, and I don’t expect anyone else to get one.
In 2021 I decided to lose weight. I lost over 50 pounds with the Nutrisystem diet. It helped and I feel better than ever. I gave up sugary drinks, even ginger ale. I am on a strict water diet as well. I completed the Nutrisystem diet for a month from Good Friday up to the middle of April. Three weeks. It felt torturous. I even gave up bread, too. I ate and followed the schedule. It wasn’t easy. The diet did instruct me to not heavily exercise, when it might give me extra joint pain. But I could feel my hips hurting, too. I think everyone should do the Nutrisystem diet for three straight to four straight weeks out of the year. Maybe even plan three days out of the week to start off slow.
I had originally been 261, the highest I had ever been, all the way down to 210. I also committed myself to drinking water and it has paid off ever since.
I did move my WordPress site over to Substack. Which allowed me more freedom to post what I wanted. And I was paying for WordPress, too. I can even add a paywall on some articles that will help increase my revenue. Also making some free helps too.
I managed to publish over 12 Ancient Culture and Mythology articles, covering world wide phenomena, including reviewing The Green Knight (2021). I covered over 34 Joe Biden Failures, which to me, was a lot. It made me cringe, but it also felt good to call out *President* Joe Biden, and the disconnect between Liberals in the United States. I lent my support to Joe Rogan when the media spent their days lecturing him and the public about how Ivermectin was a “horse dewormer.” Newsflash: it’s not. Also, I paid respects to Kentaro Miura, the legendary creator of Berserk, who passed away in May 2021. (And I eerily predicted that if Kentaro Miura passed away, Attack on Titan would be the sequel everyone wanted to Berserk. That was made April 4th, 2021, a month before Kentaro Miura passed. https://www.minds.com/newsfeed/1226893393904050176)
In total, I covered over 232 articles from Jan. 1st to May 28th, 2021. Then from May 29th to December 14th, 2021, I have written more than 160 articles. Overall, I managed and edited nearly 392 articles so far. It’s been a fucking hell of a year, to say the least. I managed to write novels this year too in between covering stories in the media and in current events.
I have edited over 7 novels, three City of Sand books, and three, two horror stories, and a novel about the card game industry. So, all in all, it wasn’t such a bad year.
2021 was a productive year for writing fiction too as I started to develop a series of books based in the first person, and not in third. All in all, I wrote over 12 pieces of novel and novella length fiction. As a rule, first person doesn’t have to do the mental jumping jacks that third person has to do in order to achieve the same goal. I wanted to approach it honestly and without reservation, so I didn’t force a lot of fiction writing this year as I was busy writing articles too.
I got to see Dune in the theater which was the highlight of my cinematic year. I also got to see the 1984 Dune, for the second time, and I appreciated it more as I watched it. Barry Lyndon was also another surprise for me. Sometimes a classic never dies, but fans keep such films and books alive. As I continue to find out more about myself, I am taking more steps in my career. I’m starting to think about a podcast dedicated to my articles, or at least get the bonus stuff you wouldn’t usually hear, or read in an article.
Can’t wait to publish more articles in the next year and enjoy your Christmas holidays.
